This tip line provides citizens with an opportunity to report information regarding a crime or an incident of which they have knowledge.

The Bloomingdale Police Department hopes to encourage the community to assist them by overcoming 2 key crime reporting deterrents: fear and apathy.

Availability

The anonymous crime tip line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is part of an ongoing effort to develop innovative ways to reduce crime and violence in and around Bloomingdale.

Who Should Call

Anyone who has information concerning a homicide, gangs, guns, drug activity, or any other type of information that would aid police personnel are encouraged to call. Often a seemingly unimportant or minor piece of information can solve a crime by providing the missing link.

How Does the Tip Line Work

Explain the activity in as much detail as possible. You do not have to provide your name, address, or telephone number. All information remains confidential.

Tips for Leaving a Message

• Be as specific as possible in providing the following information:
• Location of building or house, name of nearest intersection
• Description of person(s) involved, such as height, sex, age, weight, clothing, hair color, eye color, skin color, any distinguishing marks, and names if known
• Description of vehicles involved, make, model, color, and license plate
