Community Events

  1. Light Up Blue for National Police Week-May 9th - 15th, 2021

    May 9, 2021 - May 15, 2021 @ Throughout the Community

Each year, residents are encouraged to “Light Up Our Community” with blue lights displayed to show support for Emergency Responders and, in Bloomingdale, to honor fallen Officer Raymond Murrell Badge #145. Since the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Bloomingdale Fraternal Order of Police #175 want to share National Police Week, to also pay tribute to the Healthcare Workers. These workers have shown incredible courage and dedication, in their workplaces when our country needed them the most. This support and respect can be shown by tying blue ribbons on trees in solidarity with First Responders and the blue lights seen on residential property. Please consider taking the time to show support for Emergency Responders with blue lights and appreciation for Healthcare Workers with blue ribbons.

Village Meetings

  1. Neighborhood Watch Meeting

    May 12, 2021, 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM @ Bloomingdale Village Hall

The Neighborhood Watch Program is a cooperative effort between the residents of Bloomingdale and the Bloomingdale Police Department designed to build a working relationship to help reduce the opportunity factor of crime in neighborhoods. The program began in Bloomingdale in 1984 and solicits residents to act as "extra eyes and ears" for the Police Department by watching for and reporting suspicious persons and activities. Awareness and involvement are the keys to a successful Neighborhood Watch Program. All residents are welcome to attend meetings which provide a different informative presentation every other month. If you are interested in participating in the program, please contact the Police Department at (630) 529-9868. *Due to the pandemic, meetings may not be held in person and would then be held remotely. Please contact the Police Department if you would like to confirm.
