Residential solicitation for the sale of items door-to-door requires a Solicitor Permit Application (PDF) be filled out and turned into the Police Department. The applicant then needs to schedule an appointment at the Police Department to have an ID made. The ID is to be worn on the outside of their clothing, so that residents know who is at their door.Solicitors

Solicitors going door to door are limited to the hours of 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. Monday - Saturday. Door to door solicitation is prohibited on Sundays and state/federal holidays. Solicitors engaged in commercial, charitable or religious solicitation on sidewalks, streets, highways or other public places within the village are limited to the hours of 7 a.m.- 7 p.m.
