Highway Resurfacing on Gary Avenue

Construction Ahead

DuPage County Department of Transportation has informed the Village that highway resurfacing on Gary Avenue will be starting soon.

The project limits are Gary Avenue between Army Trail Road and Lawrence Avenue. The work consists of repairs to selected sections of concrete curb and gutter, replacement of sidewalk ramps where needed for compliance with ADA, selected sidewalk trip hazard repairs, pavement grinding to remove the old surface and installation of new asphalt pavement surface. Pavement restriping will be installed after the new pavement is laid down.

The work is scheduled to begin a week or two after the 4th of July holiday depending on the weather. Originally scheduled for this week, it has been pushed back due to the rain. The work is expected to take 4-6 weeks to complete.

The work is being done by Arrow Road Construction for DuPage County.
