Bloomingdale Paint & Recycling Event

Saturday, May 14th, 9 AM to 1:30 PM

Bloomingdale Public Works Facility

305 Glen Ellyn Rd., Bloomingdale

Limited to Village of Bloomingdale residents only; IDs will be checked. Paint from businesses will not be accepted.   

The following items will be collected at this event:

• Eyeglasses for Lions Club
• Used Cellphones for Soldiers
• Christmas: artificial trees & lights 
• Hot water tanks 
• All white goods (refrigerators, wash machines, dryers, ovens) 
• Old extension cords 
• Paint (Liquid) in cans or containers that do not exceed 5-gallon containers. Paint collection restrictions:

1. Latex, acrylic, and water-based paints will be accepted
2. Oil based, alkyd & flammable paints & stains will be accepted
3. All paints must be liquid
4. Containers must be closed & sealed with hand-written or product label  

The following items will NOT be accepted at this event:

• Paint thinners, paint remover, or cleaners
• Mixtures of paints with any other chemicals
• Spray paint
• Unlabeled containers
• Adhesives, caulk, roofing compounds, or driveway sealer
• Spackle, sheetrock, or joint compounds
• Any other chemicals, products, or waste other than paints
