Sue Dix found her creative medium in clay in 2006. After taking ceramic classes for a year, she set up a pottery studio in her garage, and she’s produced her charming clay pieces ever since. In this workshop, Sue will help participants form small pieces from clay (pinch pots, small dishes, stamped plaques). She will finish the pieces with her variegated blue glaze and fire them in her studio. Pieces will be returned to the Bloomingdale Park District Museum for pickup. Visitor fee $10. Contact Bev at firstname.lastname@example.org or 630-624-9545 for more info.
Sue’s award winning art has been exhibited at the DuPage Art League, LaGrange Art League and Studio V at Harper College.

The Neighborhood Watch Program is a cooperative effort between the residents of Bloomingdale and the Bloomingdale Police Department designed to build a working relationship to help reduce the opportunity factor of crime in neighborhoods.
The program began in Bloomingdale in 1984 and solicits residents to act as "extra eyes and ears" for the Police Department by watching for and reporting suspicious persons and activities. Awareness and involvement are the keys to a successful Neighborhood Watch Program. If you are interested in participating in the program, please contact Officer Odoi at 630-529-9868.
All residents are welcome to attend meetings which provide a different informative presentation every other month, the neighborhood watch also offers bimonthly newsletters for the community.
