The Village of Bloomingdale went out to bid on our curbside residential waste collection services effective March 1^, 2021.   S.B.C. Waste Solutions Disposal (S.B.C.) was awarded the new contract, and the Village is pleased to report that all customers will receive a significant rate reduction of 22% to 39% for their refuse, recycling and yard waste collection.  In addition to the rate reductions, the new contract provides for several service enhancements: monthly curbside electronic “E-Waste” collection, food scrap collection, garage door collection service for seniors 75+ and for persons with disabilities, drop off sites for household batteries and light bulbs, and a semi-annual paint and recycling events. PLEASE NOTE: Customers who currently receive waste collection on Fridays will receive waste collection on Tuesdays, and the Wednesday and Thursday collection routes will remain the same.  Read more
