Harvesting rain to capture stormwater is easy and can help conserve water usage around the home. About 40% of total household water use during the summer months is for watering lawns and gardens. The Conservation Foundation is partnering with the Village of Bloomingdale this spring to sell rain barrels to homeowners to help with water conservation.
The 55-gallon rain barrels can be purchased online for $60 (plus tax) no later than May 7. Mail in orders must be received by May 4th.
