Service Transition from Republic to S.B.C. Waste Solutions Disposal (SBC)
Effective March 1, 2021, S.B.C. Waste Solutions (SBC), will be the Village's exclusive hauler for household refuse, recyclable materials, yard waste, and electronics for all single-family attached and detached units. The village's contract does not include multi-family or commercial collection.Customers who currently receive waste collection on Fridays will receive waste collection on Tuesdays, and the Wednesday and Thursday collection routes will remain the same. Refuse & Recycling Carts will be switched over as follows:
Current Carts: Your current refuse and recycling carts are the property of Republic Services. Customers are asked to LEAVE THEIR CURRENT REFUSE & RECYCLING CARTS OUT at the curb on the last collection day in February (Wednesday, February 24, Thursday, February 25 and Friday, February 26). After the waste is collected, another truck will come to pick up the carts. Please DO NOT place carts out on the street. If your carts are not picked up by Monday, March 1st, please call Republic Services at (847) 981-0091.
New Carts: By no later than, Monday, March 1st, S.B.C. will deliver (1) 95-gallon refuse and (1) 65-gallon recycling carts to all detached residential customers, and (1) 65-gallon refuse and (1) 65-gallon recycling carts to all attached (townhome) residential customers. Customers may request to switch refuse and/or recycling cart sizes at no cost with a 35-gallon, 65-gallon, or 95-gallon cart by notifying the Contractor by telephone or email, starting 2-weeks after delivery for up to 90 days (June 14, 2021).
Refuse, recyclables and yard waste must be placed at the curb prior to 7 a.m. on the day of collection. Refuse, recycling and yard waste are all collected by different trucks running different routes, with different pickup time.

Refuse and recycling cost is billed quarterly directly by SBC Waste Solutions. The monthly charge for refuse and recycling service effective March 1, 2021 is as follows:

*To be eligible for the senior citizen discount, the account holder must be a resident age 65 or older, and must provide SBC with a photo ID, that can be uploaded at www.sbcwastesolutions.com/senior-discount/
Account holders who are age 75+ or who have a severe physical disability are eligible to receive garage door service at no additional charge. Please contact SBC at 312-522-1115 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to make arrangements.
Bulk & White Goods
The collection of items too large to fit into the refuse cart and exceed fifty (50) pounds in weight is covered under the flat rate, and includes Bulk Items (e.g. furniture) and White Goods (large appliances containing CFC's), please call SBC at 312-522-115 or email email@example.com 48 hours in advance to arrange collection.
Electronic items are banned from Illinois landfills, and cannot be set out with the regular garbage. E-waste is collected one (1) collection day per month during the first full collection week of each month, (Tues, Wed and Thurs all land in the same week). Customers must contact SBC 48 hours in advance to arrange collection.

Household Hazardous WasteSBC collects Household Light Bulbs and Batteries from designated drop-off locations. Paint is accepted at bi-annual collection events. For more information on these services and other household hazardous waste collection options, please: Click Here
