    The Citizen Police Academy is a series of 8-week sessions designed to present an overview of law enforcement and the job of a police officer to the public.

    The Citizen Volunteer in Police Service (VIP) Program is committed to recruiting qualified volunteers to assist with various functions and services provided by the Bloomingdale Police Department.

    Bloomingdale Township residents may dispose of their medications into the RX Drop Box 24 hours / 7 days per week at no charge.

  2. Senior Citizen Advisory Council

    The Bloomingdale Police Senior Citizen Advisory Council was formed in 1999 to generate additional programs to enhance the quality of life for seniors.

  3. Street Smart Seniors

    The program educates the participants in the various aspects of police work and personal safety issues.

  4. T.A.L.K.

    This program promotes a positive police contact and gives young adults an open forum to ask pertinent questions and to clarify misinformation that their peers have passed on to them.

  5. Youth Peer Jury

    The Youth Peer Jury Program works with the Police Department and provides a meaningful and remedial method of dealing with selected juvenile (under age 17) offenders without referral to Juvenile Court.
