The Water Reclamation Facility processes 2.7 million gallons of wastewater per day. The facility operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The operators and duty personnel perform a daily inspection of the facility to insure proper operations.
Treatment process consists of several different processes. The facility is an aerobic digestion treatment plant with a design average daily flow of 3.450 million gallons a day and a maximum design flow of 8.625 million gallons a day. The facility has Roto screens to provide preliminary treatment, an aeration chamber and 2 clarifiers for primary treatment, an aerobic digestion unit for secondary treatment, and 6 sand filters for tertiary treatment.
Additional processes include decant tanks, sludge press de-watering, and polymer feeds.
